  • Thank you Nico for bringing me back here. I love to write and never seems to get time.
I was searching for a movie to review and then saw this on the homepage; Movie of the day – The Italian Job.
I saw this movie back in college and to be honest I had my doubts before watching it as it was a remake of classic with same name that came out in 1969. And I am not too fond of remakes.
But this movie proved me wrong. This is a fast paced crime action thriller, with flavor of a revenge and con genres too. The cast is formidable with Mark Wahlberg in lead backed by solid Jason Statham, Seth Green, Charlize Theron and Edward Norton. Everyone has acted well with some witty (sometimes cheesy) dialogues and fast paced action, this movie is ideal for youngsters and but also have enough intelligent twists to be enjoyed by adults 🙂
For me the gem was Edward Norton. The man played a negative character that has been delivered so well that you will literally hate the guy with all your body cells.
Standing ovation for Director F. Gary Gray. The direction is almost flawless and very crisp. The screenplay does not wander away from the main plot ever and there are no pee breaks that you will be able to find in this one 🙂
All in all this is a fast paced action movie with all the ingredients put in correctly. If I were you and I hadn’t watched this movie yet, I would be watching this one right now.
