Superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) have ruled the Las Vegas Strip for years, raking in millions with illusions as big as Burt’s growing ego. But lately the duo’s greatest deception is their public friendship, while secretly they’ve grown to loathe each other. Facing cutthroat competition from guerrilla street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), whose cult following surges with each outrageous stunt, even their show is starting to look stale. But there’s still a chance Burt and Anton can save the act – both onstage and off – if only Burt can get back in touch with what made him love magic in the first place.

  • “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” is one of the worst movies I have seen this year. The trailers lead you be believe something completely different about the movie and it is a waste of talent. The movie was extremely long and the plot twist made no sense whatsoever. How such an attractive cast on paper, composed of recognized actors like Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi or Jim Carrey, got convinced by such a bad project is an absolute mystery. This movie is supposed to be a comedy, yet you are still searching for what is supposed to be funny, because nothing, absolutely nothing in this movie makes you smile. If I remember this film it will be mainly because it was such a disappointment!

  • Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) are a famous and favoured Las Vagas Magic act. They have been doing the same show for over 10 years. But due to a new trend of magic (Street magic) Burt and Anton are forced to do something new which ends in Burts sidekick getting injured, Anton moves to the Far East and the partnership ends. Leaving Burt overshadowed by a popular street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey).

Honestly The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is a good film and I did enjoy it however I was a little disappointed simply because if you look at the talent that’s in this film it should have been better. Maybe my expectations were too high.
