  • The Book of Life, set in Mexico, is a vibrant story of a bet between two Gods on whether Manolo, played by Diego Luna (Elysium) or Joaquin, played by Channing Tatum (22 Jump Street) will marry Maria, played by Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy) with the winner ruling the ‘Land of the Remembered’.

    Visually The Book of Life is stunning, everything right down to the minor details has been thought out. As the film is told in story form, the characters are made to look like wooden dolls, with even the most intricate details looking fantastic. Mexico is known for their vibrant colours and party culture, which is very well represented.
