  • “Gothika” was good, but not great. There were a few creepy scenes from time to time but not the kind that makes you stay up all night… Just the kind that makes you think for a while but then you forget it. The acting by all was good and the storyline was easy to follow. In fact it’s more of a whodunnit than a ghost story, and the ghost aspect is a lot more believable than the resolution. However the movie is still worth watching – but purely for Halle Berry. She is an amazing actor, who can transform herself apparently effortlessly from smart, sexy, clinical psychologist to screaming, messed-up mental patient. All in all, like I said… good, but not great!
