  • I wasn’t expecting much from this movie. In fact, it got shoved to the back of my movie marathon queue but it was great. I saw a lot of people whining about it not being kid friendly and I would just like to say that I am sick of people assuming that animated automatically equals kid friendly, and then blaming the movie and low scoring it for their own error in judgement. Whether or not you personally find it kid appropriate or not should not hinder you from being able to step back and appreciate that it was a good movie. Having said that, I think this is by far one of the most visually appealing animated movies I have ever seen. It was absolutely gorgeous. The slug was hilarious and helped lighten the mood, the voice cast was spot on and the plot was decent and a little easier for adults to get into than some other animated movies. If you are a fan of animated movies this one is definitely worth a watch.
