  • This movie is possibly one of my favorite foreign films that i have seen largely due to its outstanding cinematography, its detailed story, and the degree of shocking realism it was executed with. This movie definitely gives someone like me, who has never been to Rio De Janero, Brazil a taste of how dangerous and poverty stricken the area really is. This movie gives an insiders look of how local kids of Rio De Janero often easily get involved into gang activities such as murder, drug dealing, and drug use at an extremely young age. This movie also shows how one local caught in this mess of violence and drug abuse is able to improve his life and find his way out of this poverty stricken area. I recommend this movie to anyone who does not mind reading subtitles and likes a good gang movie.
