  • This movie is about a group of people who get trapped in a Supermarket after a Tsunami hits the coast of Queensland, Australia. But they soon find out that they have more to worry about than being in a flooded grocery store, there’s 2 12 foot sharks swimming around them, and their hungry.

This is a good popcorn flick for a Friday night, it ain’t no “Jaws” or “Deep Blue Sea” but the shark effects with the outstanding 3D make it a decent night in. Sure there is no character development, some of the acting is a bit on the poor side and cheap CGI (talking about the tsunami). You can tell the budget on this film went towards building sets, 3D camera’s, hiring a decent film crew and building two 12 foot sharks.

The cinematography of this film both underwater and above water is one of the films highlights. Shot with Sanctum’s high definition digital 3D camera set up. Another highlight of the film is the sound, another outstanding piece that makes a punch on any decent 7.1 surround system. These two elements are the films strong points. Although not the best Austrailan film made but one of the best when it comes to cinematography and photography.

    6 out of 10.
